                APPENDIX——RESOLUTIONS.

    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be, and he
is hereby authorised and directed to pay to the said James Wilkinson,
yearly in quarterly payments, during life, the half pay of a
colonel of dragoons, as remuneration for services rendered his
country in the revolutionary struggle for liberty.


Passed Jan. 27, 1816.
In favour of
Emanuel Ebbs.
                                        No. 48.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be, and he
is hereby directed to pay to Emanuel Ebbs, late a private in the
revolutionary war, or to his order annually, in quarterly payments,
a sum of money equal to the half pay of a private, as a further
remuneration to him for those services by which his country has
been so essentially benefitted.

Relative to the
safe keeping of
the arms, camp
equipage, &c.
                                        No. 49.
    RESOLVED, That the governor and council be, and they are
hereby authorised and empowered to call in, in such manner and
at such time or times as they in their discretion may fix on, the
arms, camp equipage, &c. distributed among the militia of this
state, or to take such other order with regard to the same, as they
in their judgment shall think best calculated to advance the improvement
of the militia, always securing a safe return of the said
arms, camp equipage, &c. to the state, in as good order as practicable.
    RESOLVED, That a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars out
of any unappropriated money in the treasury, be, and the same is
hereby placed at the disposal of the governor and council to carry
into effect the above resolution.

Repealing law,
&c. for the equipment
of the quota
of militia.

                                        No. 50.
    RESOLVED, That the resolution of June session 1812, for the
equipment of the quota of militia, the resolution of May session
1813, for the purchase of arms and military stores, and the act of
November session 1808*, for the purchase of arms and accoutrements,
be, and the same are hereby rescinded and repealed, and
that the sum remaining in the treasury, subject to the orders of
the executive, under the provisions of the above resolutions and
act, be, and the same are hereby applied to the payment of the
current expenses of the state.

Passed Jan. 27, 1816.
In favour of Rezin
Simpson.
                                        No. 52.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be, and he
is hereby directed to pay to Rezin Simpson, or his order, annually
in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a
sergeant of dragoons, in lieu of the sum allowed him by a resolution
of eighteen hundred and eleven.

Passed Jan. 29, 1816.
In favour of
West Nottingham
Academy.
                                        No. 53.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be, and he
is hereby authorised and directed to pay the trustees of the West
Nottingham Academy, in Cecil county, or to their order annually,
the sum of two hundred dollars, for the benefit of the said academy,
out of any unappropriated money in the treasury.

Passed Jan. 23, 1816.
In favour of the
trustees of Harford
County Academy.
                                        No. 59.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be, and he
is hereby authorised and directed to pay to the trustees of the
Harford County Academy, or to their order, the sum of five hundred
dollars on the first Monday of October annually, out of any
unappropriated money in the treasury, as a donation to said Academy.
