WASHINGTON COUNTY

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

    Regulations concerning the market house in Williamsport,
    A lottery authorised for repairing the church in the
village of Jerusalem,
    The line between Frederick and Washington counties
established,
    A road to be laid off from the Pennsylvania line on
the Little Cove Road, &c. to intersect the main road
from Hager's town to Cumberland, near Jacques's old
furnace,

    The Hager's-town Academy founded, &c.

    The act of 1809, ch. 145, to clear and make public
a road in Washington county, repealed,
    The road from Hager's-town to Hancock-town to be
straightened, &c.
    A road to be laid out from Snider's mill, to intersect
the turnpike road between the foot of the mountain
and Boonsborough,
    A road to be laid off from a point on the road from
Hager's-town to Sharpsburgh, as therein directed, to
intersect the road to Baltimore, &c.
    A lottery authorised for finishing the Lutheran and
Presbyterian Church, building a school house, and
purchasing a fire engine, in Boonsborough,
    The road from Boonsborough to Funk's town to be
straightened, &c.
    A road to be laid out from the Charlton's Gap Road
to the divisional line between Frederick and Washington
counties,
    Regulations concerning militia meetings,
    A road to be laid out from Shaick's mill, to intersect
the main road from Hager's-town to Hancock-town,
—From McShan's, or Taylor's ferry, on the Potomac,
to Crampton's Gap on the South Mountain,
    The road from Hancock to Cumberland, as located
by Williams and Moore, declared to be a public road,
    Certificates of survey of land before made in Washington
county, not compounded on, &c. and liable to
proclamation, vacated (after the 1st of October 1813,)
and placed on the same footing as all other vacant land
in said county, without being bound by or paying any
regard to the aforementioned survey,
    Money to be levied for the support of Elizabeth
Welch,

    The Conococheague Bank established in Williamsport,

    The name of Elizabeth town changed to Hager's-town,
and the town incorporated, &c.
    The old road from Hager's-town to Mesersberg,
&c. to be straightened and amended,
    A road to be laid from the Pennsylvania line
where the new road from Mercersburg ends, and
thence to Potomac river,
    A company incorporated to make a turnpike road
from Boonsborough to Swearingen's ferry on Potomac,
    A lottery authorised in Sharpsburgh for purchasing
a fire engine,
    A company incorporated for erecting a bridge over
the Potomac, near Williamsport,
    A road to be laid out from Jonathan-street in Hager's-town,
towards Green Castle, as far as the Pennsylvania
line,
    A company incorporated to make a turnpike road
from Baltimore through Liberty-town to Hager's-town,
