            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

—The five persons therein named appointed commissioners
for Talbot county, in place of the then commissioners,
whose power was made null and void,
    The commissioners of the tax for Prince George's
and Cæcil counties, directed to meet and revalue and
reassess the real and personal property within said
counties,
—No person in said counties, whose property shall
not be assessed to the amount of $100, shall be liable
for or chargeable with any tax, assessment or charge,
under the act of 1812, ch. 191,
—Persons named therein appointed commissioners
for the said counties respectively,
    An act to provide for a new assessment, and to appoint
collectors of the county tax in and for the city
and county of Baltimore,
    Real and personal property in Worcester county to
be revalued, and reassessed,
—Commissioners appointed,

    In the writ from the declaration, and a cause for stay
or reversal,

    The act of 1716, ch. 16, respecting an appraised
value, repealed,

    To summon freeholders, fee on, allowed to justices
of the peace,
—Same, on a venire to summon a jury in a forcible
entry and detainer,

    How to be given in suits against executors or administrators
as to the amount of the debt and on the
subject of assets,

    The jury, if they find a person guilty of murder, to
ascertain in their verdict the degree,
    Amendments may be allowed before verdict,
    Judgment not to be stayed on any verdict for any defect
of form, &c. if sufficient substance,
    Not to extend to criminal prosecutions,
    In verdicts for damage the judgments to be entered so
as to carry an interest,
    The verdict being for a greater sum than the damages
laid in the declaration not a ground for reversal,

    Of Prince-George's county—money to be levied for
her support,

    The harbour master of Baltimore authorised to demand
from the commander of every foreign vessel $3
as an additional compensation,
    Punishment for burning any vessel,

—For stealing,
    Licensed vessels not to be valued for the public assessment,

    Concerning his election.  See Elections.
    The vice president exempted from militia duty,

    A company incorporated for erecting a bridge over
Nanticoke river at or near Vienna, in Dorchester
county,

    An act for settling the western limits of this state, and
the dividing lines and boundary between this state and
the commonwealth of Virginia,
