TOBACCO INSPECTION

    Persons charged with treason, &c. in any of the
territories of the United States, to be delivered up on
demand,

    See Wills.

    No will concerning personal estate shall be repealed,
nor any clause thereof altered by word of mouth only,
unless committed to writing, and read to the testator,
and approved by him,
    No devise, legacy or bequest, to lapse, &c. by the
death of any devisee, &c. in the life-time of the testator,

    From the county courts, directions concerning,

    When to be committed to writing respecting nuncupative
or written wills,

    In other matters.  See Evidence.

    Improvement of the new theatre in Baltimore authorised,

    Of Charles county—money to be levied for her support,

    Of Frederick county—same,

    On title being claimed to the land in cases of trespass
before a justice of the peace, for cutting timber, &c.
the justices shall take no further cognizance thereof,

    Of Worcester county—money to be levied for his
support,

    Not to be valued for the public assessment,

    Not lawful to export by land or water any tobacco
unless in hogsheads inspected, &c. at some public warehouse
as therein directed,
—Except tobacco inspected before the act, in manner
therein prescribed,
    Penalty for exporting by water tobacco uninspected
or lading it for exportation, to be recovered by indictment,
    Manifests to be received by captains from the inspectors,
and deposited with the collectors of the United
States on oath,
    Penalty on carrying out any tobacco by land, or lading
for that purpose,
    The tobacco and wagon liable to forfeiture,
—Provisions in case of suit for seizure,
