            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

    Provision for recording certain papers in the office
of the register of wills,
    Proceedings of the orphans court revived and aided,
    A board of agriculture established,
    Money to be levied for the support of B. Buckler,
—For the support of Ann McGill,
    Provision made for having alphabets to the land records,
or transcribing them,
    The powers of the trustees of the poor enlarged as
to out-pensioners,
    The old private road, beginning at the road from
Newport to Chaptico, till it intersects the divisional
line between Charles and St. Mary's counties, and
thence to a road from Chaptico to Charlotte Hall, to
be laid out, &c.
    The act of 1807, ch. 71, to encourage the destruction
of crows repealed as it related to St. Mary's county,
    Money to be levied for the support of Richard
Thompson,
—Same, for the support of Ann and Mary Cheswick,
    Provision made for transcribing wills, &c. in the register's
office,
    The proceedings of the orphans court revived, &c.
    Money to be levied for the support of Clare Stone,
    A lottery authorised for building a bridge over Britain's
Bay,
    Money to be levied for the support of Sarah Thompson,
and others, therein named,
    An act to encourage the destruction of crows,
    The place of holding the elections in the second district
altered,
    Money to be levied for the support of James Deane,
    A lottery authorised for repairing the churches in
King and Queen's Parish in St. Mary's county, &c.
    Money to be levied for the support of the children of
Richard Gooding,
    The allowance to the sheriff for keeping prisoners in
gaol increased,

    Commissioners of the school fund appointed,

    Money to be levied for the support of Anne Tippett
and Anne Tyson,
    The Farmers Bank of Leonard-town established,
    Money to be levied for the three children of Richard
Walker,
    A lottery authorised for the benefit of Charlotte Hall
School,
    Money to be levied for the support of Elizabeth
West,
    An additional donation to be annually paid by the
treasurer to Charlotte Hall School, on the condition
therein prescribed,
—The trustees from Calvert county authorised to
secede, &c.
    Each judge of the orphans court allowed four dollars
for every days attendance,
    Negroes, &c. not suffered to be in the store houses
of retailers of liquor between sun-set and sun-rise, &c.
    Money to be levied for the support of Theophilus
Davis,
—Same, for the support of J. Knott and E. Bothick,
—Same, for the support of L. True, &c.
—Same, for the support of E. Mason,
—Same, for the support of E. Wood, &c.
    An additional allowance to be made to grand and petit
jurors in the county courts, and to witnesses in the
county and orphans courts,
