MONTGOMERY
      COUNTY

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

    The time for taking then sheriff's bond extended,
    Money to be levied for straightening and amending
the public roads,
    Parts of 1794, ch. 52, contrary to this act, repealed,
    A road to be laid out from Liberty-town, in Frederick
county, to Hyatt's-town in Montgomery county,
—A lottery authorised therefor,
    Provision for changing the road from Rockville to
Potomac river,
    The register of wills directed to keep his office, &c.
at the place of holding the county court,

    Calvert, Anne-Arundel, and Montgomery counties,
form the third judicial district,

    Money to be levied for the support of Andrew With,
    A road to be opened from Barnsville to Maccubbin's
Mill, to intersect the main road leading from Frederick-town
to George-town, at or near Log town,
    An addition to be made to the town of Rockville,
    Money to be levied for the support of John Randle,
Ally Campbell, and Rebecca Dennis,
    The county courts to be held on the first Monday
in March and second Monday in November,
    A lottery authorised, to raise money to purchase a
fire engine, and to purchase ground and build a
school house in Rockville,
    A company incorporated to make a turnpike road
from the line of the district of Columbia, &c. through
Montgomery and Frederick counties, to Frederick-town,
    The place of holding elections in the 4th election
district changed to Coalesville,
    Montgomery county, and part of Frederick county,
from the third district for electing representatives to
congress,
    Part of Prince-George's, Calvert, and the 3d and 4th
districts in Montgomery county, form the 2d district
for choosing electors of the president and vice president
of the United States,
—The remainder of Montgomery, Anne Arundel
county, and the city of Annapolis and city of Baltimore,
form the third district for choosing electors of the
president and vice president of the United States,
    Money to be levied for the support of Sarah Gray,
and Margaret Wilson and her children,
—Same—for the support of Jane Bradman,
    A road to be laid out from Richardson's mill to intersect
the main road to Bladensburgh,
    A board of agriculture established,
    Money to be levied for the support of John Herring,
—Same—for the support of John Richards,
    A road to be laid out from Crow's mill, on Patuxent,
by the Paint Branch, and the North West Branch, to
intersect the line of the district of Columbia,
    The town of Brookeville to be laid out,
    The road from Edward's Ferry on Potomac, to the
road through the Sugar Land Bottom from the mouth
of Seneca to Conrad's Ferry, declared a public road,
    Money to be levied for the support of William Wheeler,
    A road to be laid out from the lower end of W.
Dante's lane to intersect the road from J. Orme's
plantation, to Montgomery court house, &c.
    Money to be levied for the support of D. Hamilton,
—Same—for the support of E. Reed,
—Same—for the support of M. Bradburn,
    A town erected by the name of Hyatt's-town, &c.
    An act to alter and change the place of holding the
election for the first election district,
