KENT COUNTY

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

    The road leading from Redwood Run, on the main
road to Rock Hall, to the wharf on the north west fork
of Langford's Bay, declared a public road,
    Kent county excepted from the 3d section of the inspection
law concerning places for tobacco warehouses,
    A road to be opened from the main road leading from
the head of Chester to the head of Sassafras, to the
Delaware line,
    The act of 1792, ch. 16, to prevent abuses in making
bricks, repealed,

    A lottery authorised for repairing Shrewsbury
Church,

    The register of wills directed to keep his office, &c.
at the place of holding the county court,

    Cæcil, Kent, Queen-Anne's, and Talbot counties,
form the second judicial district,

    A company incorporated for erecting a bridge over
Chester River at Chester-town,
—Supplement,
—Same—a lottery authorised,
—Same,
    The levy courts of Kent and Queen-Anne's counties
authorised to levy a sum of money for building a bridge
over Chester River at the head of Chester,
    Part of the old public road from New Market to
Marshe's lane to be stopped up,
    The county court to be held on the third Monday in
March and September,
    Harford, Cæcil, and Kent counties, form the sixth
district for electing representatives to Congress,
    Kent and Queen-Anne's counties form the seventh
district for choosing electors of the president and vice-president
of the United States,
    Commissioners appointed for the regulation and improvement
of Chester-town,
    Contracts of the former vestry of Shrewsbury Parish
to be fulfilled,
    Land to be condemned for erecting a ferry house at
Eastern Neck Island Ferry,
    Papers in the office of the register of wills to be transcribed,
    Part of a road from Turner's Creek cross roads to
Turner's Creek to be stopped,
    A Board of Agriculture established,
    Lots of land vested in trustees for the use of the Quakers
at the Cæcil and Chester meeting houses,
    Penalty for erecting booths or selling liquor within
two miles of any Methodist camp or quarterly meeting,
    A road to be laid out from a part of the road from
the head of Chester to Smyrna, to intersect the forest
road from Massey's cross roads to Smyrna, &c.
    A road to be laid out commonly called Quaker Road,
from near Wilson's mill, where it intersects the road
from Chester-town to George-town cross roads, and
thence to intersect the road from Still Pond to Goose
Hill,
    The place of holding the election in the first election
district to be determined by the judges,
    The road from the Head of Chester to the Delaware
line, in the direction of Smyrna, made public,
&c.
    Penalty for erecting booths or selling spirituous liquor
within two miles of any Methodist camp or quarterly
meeting,
