            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

    The road laid out from S. Burger's mill, to intersect
the new road from Masencop's smith-shop to New-Market,
to be a public road,
    Money to be levied to repair the Bentz-town market-house
and school room,
    A lottery authorised for building the Impartial Academy
and Free Church in or near Taney-town,
    The Sisters of Charity of Saint Joseph's in Emmitsburgh
incorporated, &c.
    The treasurer directed to pay to the order of the levy
court the proportion of Frederick county of the school
fund,
    A road to be laid out from New-Market to the line
of the District of Columbia, in direct communication
with George-town and Washington,
    The Frederick County Bank established, &c.
    Companies incorporated to make certain turnpike
roads through Montgomery, Frederick and Washington
counties,
    The levy court authorised to increase the pay of the 
overseer of the poor,
    A bridge to be built across Monocacy,
    A road to be laid out from New Market, to intersect
the George-town road near Griffith's lane, and thence
to intersect the old Baltimore and Frederick road near
H. Wayman's,
    The vestry of the German Lutheran Congregation
in Frederick town authorised to sue for and recover the
property therein devised or bequeathed to them,

    An academy established at Liberty-town,

    Certain lands confirmed to the Society of United
Brethren,
    The allowance to the sheriff for keeping prisoners,
and supporting them in gaol increased,
    The trustees of the Big Pipe Creek Academy incorporated,
    The trustees of St. Lucas' Reformed Church in Union-town
incorporated,
    An act to incorporate Westminster, in Frederick
county,
    Damages to be valued on a road opened under an act
passed in 1808,
 

    A lottery authorised for finishing the Roman Catholic
Church in Frederick-town,
    German or High Dutch Reformed Church, property
vested in certain elders, &c.
    The Baltimore and Frederick-town Turnpike
Company incorporated, &c.
    A lottery authorised for purchasing a fire engine,
—For rebuilding the steeple of the German Reformed
Church,
    A branch of the Farmers Bank of Maryland established
at Frederick-town,
    A lottery authorised for repairing the Parsonage
House, and the church belonging to the Evangelical
Lutheran Congregation,
    A lottery authorised for paving Market-street,
—A supplement,
    A lottery authorised for finishing and completing the
Protestant Episcopal Church,
    A fire proof building to be erected for the safe keeping
of the public land records,
    A lottery authorised for buying a lot and building
thereon an English Presbyterian Church and a Parsonage
House,
