FREDERICK COUNTY

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

    The Taney-town Library incorporated,
    Swine and geese prevented from going at large in
Emmitsburgh, and Shield's Addition,
    A lottery authorised for defraying the expense of
building a house of worship at Emmitsburgh,
    A road to be opened from Emmitsburgh to Caldwell's
lane, on the Pennsylvania line,
    A lottery authorised for finishing the German Lutheran,
and German Presbyterian Church in Woodsberry,
—For deepening and widening a well in Taney-town,
    Swine and geese prevented from going at large therein,
    Commissioners appointed to lay off Frederick county
into nine election districts, according to the constitution
as altered, &c.
—The levy court to allow for their services,
    A road to be opened from Westminster to the city
of Washington and George-town,
    A road to be laid out from Middle town to Washington
county,
    The act of 1798, ch. 22, for the destruction of
wolves, continued,
    A road to be laid out from Liberty town, through
New-Market, to Hyatt's-town in Montgomery county,
—A lottery authorised therefor,
    Swine and geese prevented from going at large in
New Winsor,
    The Baltimore and Frederick turnpike road company
incorporated, &c.
    Frederick, Washington, and Allegany counties,
form the fifth judicial district,

    The powers of the trustees of the poor enlarged as to
out pensioners,
    A road to be laid out from East street in Frederick-town,
to intersect a road from the east end of Church-street
to B. Johnson's mill,
    The Baltimore and Reister's town turnpike Company 
empowered to extend the road from Westminster to
Taney-town, to Emmitsburgh, and the Pennsylvania
line,
    A lottery authorised for purchasing a fire-engine in
Frederick-town,
—For rebuilding the steeple of the German Reformed
Church,
    A company incorporated to make a turnpike road
from the District of Columbia, through Montgomery
and Frederick counties, to Frederick-town,
    Montgomery county, and that part of Frederick
county adjacent as far as Monocacy, from the mouth
thereof to the Pennsylvania line, form the third district
for electing representatives to Congress,
—The remainder of Frederick county, Washington
and Allegany counties, form the fourth district,
    Frederick, Washington, and Allegany counties,
form the fourth district for choosing electors of the
president and vice president of the United States,
—The fourth district entitled to two electors,
    The road through the plantation of Henry Hershbergher
to be reviewed,
    Part of the act of 1794, ch. 52, relating to public
road, repealed as to Frederick county, &c.
—Directions as to written applications and bonds by
supervisors,
—Provision as to private roads,
—For building any new bridge,
