On inspectors for receiving by barter any tobacco,
or procuring it to be sold or consigned, $16,
On persons erasing or altering any mark, &c. on
any hogshead, $150,
On inspectors neglecting to keep the scales,
weights, &c. in repair, $100,
On persons appointed to view tobacco refusing to
serve, $20,
On inspectors tendering any tobacco instead of
tobacco refused as therein prohibited, $100,
On persons accepting such tobacco, $100,
On inspectors not delivering the identical tobacco
as therein directed, $20,
On persons receiving another hogshead, $20,
On inspectors giving notes for tobacco unless the
full quantity has been received and passed, $100,
On persons forging manifests or notes,

On inspectors converting to their own use
draughts or samples of tobacco, 75 cents,
On proprietors suffering their warehouses to be
out of repair, after notice as therein directed, not
exceeding

On proprietors not informing against such proprietors,

On justices of the peace not executing the duties
prescribed as to warehouses, $60.
On justices of the levy courts refusing or delaying
to do their duty respecting warehouses, $20,
On the old and new inspectors, for neglecting to
make and lodge manifests of tobacco delivered over,

On sheriffs neglecting to have chimneys, (not
being of brick or stone,) near public warehouses, pulled
down, $150,
On inspectors not giving notice thereof to the
sheriff, $60,
Prosecutions under this act to be
commenced within

Fine on justices of the peace taking
a greater fee or
