            INDEX TO THE LAWS.

    Damages to be valued and paid to B. Pearce on the
road under the act of 1815, ch. 83,

    Of Frederick county—money to be levied for his support,

    Provisions relating to the public roads,

    The attendance of the register of wills where the
orphans court is held, when to be dispensed with,
    A warehouse for the inspection of Tobacco to be
established at or near Plumb Point,

—One dollar to be paid for every hogshead of Tobacco
inspected in Calvert county,
    Money to be levied for building a clerk's office,
    Proceedings in the county court revived and aided,
—Directions concerning the sheriff's bond,
    Money to be levied for building a new gaol,
    Proceedings of the trustees of the poor confirmed, &c.

    Calvert, Anne-Arundel, and Montgomery counties,
form the third judicial district,
    The clerk empowered to remove from his public office
the eight last court dockets and papers preceding
the removal,
    The county courts to be held on the second Monday
in May and October,
    Saint Mary's, Charles, and Calvert counties, form the
first district for electing representatives to congress,
    Part of Prince-George's county, Calvert county, and
part of Montgomery county, form the second district
for choosing an elector of the president and vice president,
    Money to be levied for the support of Upton Ross,
—For the support of Wenman Ramsay,
—For the support of Isaac Baker,
—For the support of James Collerton,
    The levy court authorised to borrow the sum therein
mentioned from any bank for rebuilding the court-house,
    Penalty on persons erecting booths or selling liquor
within two miles of any Methodist Camp or Quarterly
Meeting,
    The levy court authorised to borrow money for rebuilding
the court-house and gaol on the old lots,
—Money to be levied annually for six years for payment
thereof,
—On the completion of the buildings, the offices of
the clerk and register of wills, to be kept there,
—Laws repugnant thereto repealed,
    Allowance to the sheriff for keeping prisoners, &c.
increased,
    Commissioners of the school fund appointed,
    Money to be levied for repairing or rebuilding the
court-house and gaol on the old lot,
—Until the completion of the building a suitable
building in any part of the county to be rented for the
court,
—The judges authorised to adjourn the court to
meet at the place so procured,
    The trustees of Charlotte Hall School, for Calvert
county, authorised to secede, and to have a fourth of
any donation, to be applied to the purposes of education,
    The several acts for the destruction of Crows repealed,
    Proceedings of the levy court since 1814, when the
court-house was destroyed by the enemy, confirmed,
