            INDEX TO THE LAWS.

acquired lands or title thereto, and having afterwards
become naturalized, to enjoy such lands, &c. as if naturalized
at the time of acquisition,
—Not to interfere with rights acquired before this
act,

    A road to be laid out from Tomlinson's to Ball's,
    The powers of the Levy Court extended relative to
roads,
                                            1804, 81; 1805, 89; 1807, 58;
    The president, &c. of the Allegany turnpike road incorporated,
&c.
    Election districts to be reviewed and altered,
    Allegany county exempted from the 3d section of
the inspection law concerning the places for tobacco
warehouses,
 

   Frederick, Washington, and Allegany counties,
from the fifth judicial district,
    Part of Frederick, Washington, and Allegany counties,
form the fourth district for electing representatives
to congress,
    Part of Frederick, Washington, and Allegany counties, form
the fourth district for choosing electors of the president
and vice president of the United States,
—The fourth district entitled to two electors,
    Powers vested in commissioners respecting the reserved
lands westward of Fort Cumberland, &c.
    The sale of certain lots of land, lying westward of
Fort Cumberland, authorised,
    A lottery authorised for purchasing a fire engine
for the town of Cumberland, and erecting a bridge
over Will's creek,
    Regulations concerning stray black cattle,
    Lots to the westward of Fort Cumberland liable to
be taken up as vacant land,
    The county court to to be held on the third Monday in
April and second Monday in October,
    A town to be erected at or near the mouth of
Will's creek, by the name of Cumberland,
    Offices to be built for the public papers and records,
    Notice directed to be given respecting lands whereon
taxes are due, &c.

    The road from Hancock to Cumberland to be laid
out and improved,
—The consent of the state given to laying out a
road from Cumberland to the Ohio, by the United
States,
    The collection of certain ground rents on lots, in
Cumberland, authorised,
    The supplement to the act to ascertain the allowance
to jurymen and witnesses, not to extend to Allegany 
county,
    A certificate of a survey therein mentioned vacated,
and the land revested in the state,
—Not to be taken up till the legislature should make
provision,
—The land made liable to be taken up, but warrants
not to be granted before the 1st of June 1811,
—Until the 1st of January 1813, not more than 600,
nor less than 100 acres, to be taken up by any person,
company, &c. by any species of warrant,
—Not to affect any right acquired,
    A board of agriculture established,
    Acts of justices of the peace holding or having held
offices of profit or trust, under the United States since
the 4th of November 1799, confirmed,
