An Act to alter and change the name of Cecil Cross Roads, in Cecil
                County, to Cecilton.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the village in Cecil county, state of Maryland, now called and
known by the name of Cecil Cross Roads, shall hereafter be called
and known by the name of Cecilton.

An Additional Supplement to the act (a), entitled, An act to straighten
    and amend the several Public Roads in several Counties, and for
    other purposes therein mentioned.

    WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, by Jannaro
S. Farree and Benjamin Gray, of Montgomery county, that the
public road leading from George-town, through Rockville in Mongtomery
county, to Frederick-town, passes through several lots of
ground in the said town of Rockville, to the great injury of the
holders of said lots; they therefore pray that the said road may be
altered and continued through Washington-street to the north end
thereof, and from thence to intersect the present road, north of the
said town of Rockville, by a line drawn north 35 degrees west; and
the prayer of the petitioners being reasonable, therefore,
Preamble.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
Jesse Leach, Solomon Holland and Thomas P. Wilson, be and they
are hereby appointed commissioners, to lay off, and cause to be surveyed,
the said road, from the north-east corner of lot No. 28, on
Washington-street, in the said town of Rockville, to the north end
of said street, and thence of the width of Washington-street north
35 degrees west, to intersect the Frederick-town road north of the
said town of Rockville.

    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the duty of the commissioners
aforesaid, or a majority of them, when they have laid off
and surveyed the said roads, to return a plot with a certificate of
the courses, to the clerk of Montgomery county court, to be recorded,
whose duty it shall be to receive and record the same along the
records of Montgomery county.

    3.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the road running through the lots
of the said town of Rockville shall, when the provisions of this act
are carried into effect, cease to be a public road, and the road running
through the said lots shall become the property of the holders
of the said lots respectively; and that part of of the road north of the
said town, to the place where the new road shall intersect the old
road, shall cease to be a public road; and the commissioners aforesaid,
or a majority of them, are hereby authorised and directed, to
sell at public sale for case, to the highest bidder, the old road north
of the aforesaid town of Rockville, until it intersects the new road,
and make a conveyance thereof to the purchaser by deed, which
deed shall be a good title in fee simple to the said purchaser; and
the money arising from said sale be applied to defraying the expenses
of opening the new road.

    4.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That when the aforesaid road shall have
been opened as aforesaid, the same shall thereafter be deemed and
used as a public highway for ever, and shall be kept in repair as
other public roads and highways of Montgomery county now are.
