upon the terms and conditions prescribed by an act, entitled, A
supplement to the act, entitled, An act to incorporate a company to
make a turnpike road leading to Cumberland, and for the extension
of the charters of the several banks in the city of Baltimore, and
for other purposes, passed at December session one thousand eight
hundred and thirteen*; therefore,

*  Ch. 122.

    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the charters of, or the several acts of assembly incorporating the
above mentioned banks, be and the same hereby are continued and
extended to the first day of January one thousand eight hundred
and thirty-five, and to the end of the session of the general assembly
next thereafter; Provided, that nothing herein contained shall
be construed to release the said banks from the compliance with
the terms and conditions prescribed in the act of assembly, entitled, 
A supplement to the act, entitled, An act to incorporate a company
to make a turnpike road leading to Cumberland, and for the 
extension of the charters of the several banks in the city of Baltimore,
and for other purposes, passed at December session eighteen
hundred and thirteen, chapter one hundred and twenty-two.

    By 1818, ch. 147, the charter of the Elkton Bank of Maryland was continued
and extended, &c.

                                   CHAP. CLXVIII.
An Act extending the benefit of the insolvent Laws to certain Petitioners
                therein mentioned.

Passed Jan. 26, 1816.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
Joseph Bruff, Benjamin Bruff, John McKell, Joshua Dimmett,
John S. Williams, Peter Miller, John Bates, Thomas Elliott, William
Roston, Robert McGill, Joshua F. Batchelor, John Hosselboch,
George A. Bowersox, William Burke, Levin Jones, Samuel
A. Kempton, Middleton B. Magruder, Benjamim C. Calhoun, and
William G. McClure, of Baltimore county, shall be, and each of
them are hereby entitled to receive the full benefit of and final release
under the act, entitled, An act for the relief of sundry insolvent
debtors, passed November session one thousand eight hundred
and five †, and the several supplements thereto, on the terms and
conditions prescribed in said act, without being required to produce
to the court the assent of two thirds of their creditors in amount;
and also to extend the like benefit of said laws to John Cornthwait
of Baltimore, upon the like terms, notwithstanding Cornthwait
and Carey may have made payments to some of their creditors; and
also to extend the like benefit of said laws to Henry Konig of the
city of Baltimore, without requiring of him a certificate of residence
as prescribed by the said laws.

    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the benefits and relief of the provisions
of this act to be extended to Thomas Baily of the city of Baltimore;
Provided always, That said benefits and relief be not construed
to apply to any debts or obligations incurred by the said Baily
at any period subsequent to teh thirtieth day of October eighteen
hundred and thirteen, which debts and obligations are to continue
in full force, any thing in this act to the contrary notwithstanding.

    3.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That in cases where either of the aforesaid
petitioner have made application for the benefit of the said
laws, and the same is now depending, it shall not be necessary for
