CHAP. 11.

                                LAWS OF MARYLAND.

and that I will not, directly or indirectly, receive any further
compensation therefor than allowed by law; so help me God."

Governor authorised
to draw on
treasurer.
    7.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That as soon as the general assembly
shall have appropriated money for the purposes in this act mentioned,
the governor be and he is hereby authorised and directed, to
draw warrants on the treasurer of the western shore for the amount
of the respective claims when revised by the governor and
council.
Vouchers to be
preserved, and
warrants recorded.
    8.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the duty of the clerk
of the council, for the time being, carefully to preserve the respective
vouchers accompanying the respective settlements, and to record
the several warrants, signed by the governor for the time being.
Appeals may be
made to governor
and council.
    9.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That if any person shall deem himself
injured by any settlement made by an accountant, they may appeal
at any time within three months to the governor and council, for
the time being.
Penalty for receiving
more than allowed
by law.
    10.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That if any accountant shall receive
any pay or emolument, other than what may be allowed by law, he
shall pay and forfeit a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars, to
be recovered by indictment in the court of the county where the
offence may have been committed.

    By 1815, ch. 84, so much of this act as relates to the appointment of accountants
repealed.

                                            CHAP. XII.
A Supplement to an act*, entitled, An act for opening and extending
    Aisquith-Street, in the Eastern Precincts of Baltimore.

    No. 3, fol. 564.
Part of Aisquith-Street
declared
public.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
all that part of a street laid down as " Aisquith-Street" by Robert
Ballard, on a plot filed and recorded in Baltimore county court,
among the records thereof, in Liber W. G. No. G. G. folio 27, &c.
be and the same is hereby declared a public street and highway.
Street may be extended.     2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the city commissioners of Baltimore
be and they are hereby empowered to open and extend the
said street, commencing at the south end of the west line of the said
street, thence running to Pitt-street, intersecting the same at right
angles, thence with Pitt-street to the east line of Lloyd's lane, and
thence with said line to the end of the east line of Aisquith-street,
as laid down in said plot, whether the same be within the city or in
the precincts of Baltimore, any thing in the act to which this is a 
supplement to the contrary notwithstanding.
