CHAPTER 407.
A FURTHER SUPPLEMENT to the Act entitled
"An Act to incorporate the Fredericktown Savings
Institution" passed at December session, eighteen
hundred and twenty-seven, chapter one hundred
and forty-two, of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, repealing the fifth section thereof, and re-
enacting the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by flu' General Assembly of
Maryland, That section fifth of the said Act of in-
corporation be and the same is hereby repealed, and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Sue. 5. And he if enacted, That the secretary of said
institution shall, on the first day of July and on the
first day of January in each and every year, make a
statement of the condition of said institution, to be
verified by the oath or affirmation of such secretary,
which statement, when signed and approved by any
three of" the directors, shall be published in line or
more of the newspapers published in Frederick
county for two successive weeks; and it shall further
be the duty of the directors, on the first day of July
and on the first day of January in each and every
year, to declare a dividend of the profits of said. in-
stitution for the preceding six months, deducting
expenses, and pay over such dividend to the deposit-
ors or stockholders of weekly deposits, within ten
days after declaring such dividends.
