' SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the corporation
hereby created shall be able and capable in law to
have, hold, purchase, receive, possess, enjoy and re-
tain to them and their successors in office, any estate
or interest whatever, and not to exceed in value
thirty thousand dollars in property, real or personal,
or mixed, by deed, assignment, devise, bequest or
other mode of conveyance or transfer of or from
every person., bodies public or corporate, having
legal capability to make such transfer or conveyance,
and the same to improve with such church, meeting
house and parsonage for the use of the congregation
for public or other worship, and for a residence of
the pastor of the congregation, not inconsistent with
the discipline of the Methodist Episcopal Church
South, and to sell, rent, mortgage and convey all or
any part of any property belonging to, or that may
hereafter belong to the said corporation, according
to the rules of discipline of the Methodist Episcopal
Church South.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all lands and tene-
ments, with the appurtenances now belonging to or
held in the name of the incorporation herein named,
for the benefit of said church, and all personal prop-
erty, fixtures and furniture now held by them shall,
from and after the passage of this Act, be vested in
the said body corporate hereby created, and then-
successors, forever, for the use and benefit of the
congregation, according to the rules and regulations.

predecessors, shall be for the benefit of the Metho-
dist Episcopal Church South; and they are hereby
made legal and valid, to all intents and purposes, as

rated before receiving such deeds and conveyances.
SEC'. 4. And he it enacted. That whenever any
vacancy shall occur in the Board of Trustees, in con-
sequence of death, removal, resignation, or ceasing
to be members of the said church or congregation,
worshiping at their regular place of worship, said
vacancy shall be filled in pursuance to the discipline
