LAWS OF MARYLAND.
SEC. 173. He shall be entitled to receive two
dollars a day for every day he shall actually attend
upon the Orphans' Court of said county, where
required to do so by the Chief Judge or any two
Judges of said court; and said Orphans' Court shall
certify the number of days in each year the Sheriff
shall have attended said court in obedience to its
requirement, to the County Commissioners, -who
shall levy and pay the said Sheriff the same so certi-
fied to be due.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its approval by the Governor.

CHAPTER 231.
AN ACT to incorporate the Trustees of the Bethle-
hem Methodist Episcopal Church South, Taylor's-
Island, Dorchester county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Solomon F. Kirnan, Levi D. Trav-
ers, John McGuire, John II. Davis, Travers Staple-
fort, Samuel Patterson, Edwin L. Griffith, and their
successors in office, are hereby created a body corpo-
rate and politic, by the name and style of the Trus-
tees of Bethlehem Methodist Episcopal Church South,
of Taylor's Island, Dorchester county, and by that
name shall have perpetual succession, and shall be
able and capable in law to sue and be sued, plead
and be impleaded, answer and be answered unto, in
any court of law or equity, or before any Judge
thereof in this State or elsewhere, and to make and
have a common seal, and the same to break, alter or
renew at pleasure, and also to do all such other acts
and things as may be necessary to carry into effect
tills corporation, not inconsistent with the laws of
this.- State or of the United States.
