Turnpike Road Company be and they are authorized
and empowered to remove their present toll-gate
from its present location, and to erect a toll-house
and toll-gate at any convenient place outside of the
taxable limits of the City of Frederick, with power
to change the location of said toll-gate whenever the
taxable limits of said city shall be extended, and with
full power to collect and receive at such substituted
toll-gate, all such tolls as are now allowed by law.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said company
shall be authorized to purchase and hold, for the use
of said company, a quantity of land not exceeding
one-quarter of an acre, for the purpose of erecting a
toll-house and other buildings, and a garden; and,
in the event that said company shall not be able
to agree with the owner or owners thereof, or the
owner shall be a lunatic, infant, feme covert, absent
from the county, or laboring under any disability,
then it shall be lawful for the said company to con-
demn a piece or parcel of land contiguous' to said
road, not exceeding one-quarter of an acre of land;
and in making such condemnation shall proceed in
the manner provided by the ninth section of the Act
to which this is a supplement.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 126.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Chesapeake
Warehouse Company of Baltimore city.
SECTION 1. -Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Chesapeake Warehouse Com-
pany of Baltimore city, shall have, and may exercise
the same rights and powers, in all respects, and in
the same manner, as those conferred upon the Balti-
more Warehouse Company by the Act entitled " an
Act to incorporate the Baltimore Warehouse Com-
pany," passed at the January session, eighteen hun-
