amendments, an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at the January Session, in the year 1888, chapter
334, approved March 30th, 1868, entitled an Act supplemen-
tary and amendatory of an Act passed at the present Session
of the Legislature of Maryland, entitled an Act to amend the
charter of the Cumberland and Pennsylvania Railroad Company, passed at January Session, 1849, chapter 469,
Said bill being upon a second reading,
Mr. Feig, moved that the enacting clause be (stricken
out,
Decided in the negative.
Mr. Chapman submitted the following amendment.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 1, line 28, after the word " shall," strike out the
word " not,"
