The bill was then read a first time.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, the House proceeded to the consideration of the unfin-
ished business of yesterday, being

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 3, of Article
95 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Usury,."
and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to add an
additional section to be section 6 of said Article.

The question recurring upon the amendment submitted by
Mr. Meekins.

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At the end of section 6, add: that nothing contained in
this Act shall apply to the several counties of this State.
