any point on the Potomac River, within the limits
of Frederick County, which may be determined on
by the President and Directors of said Company,
and at such point to construct a Bridge across said
River, for the use of their Road.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 19.

 

AN ACT to amend the Act passed at the January
Session eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, Chap-
ter four hundred and thirty-one, entitled "An
Act to incorporate the Frederick and Williams-
port Railroad Company."

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section seven of the Act of As-
sembly passed at January Session eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-eight, Chapter four hundred and
thirty-one, entitled " An Act to incorporate the
Frederick and Williamsport Railroad Company,"
he and the same is hereby repealed, and the follow-
ing inserted in lieu thereof;

Instalment.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the subscriptions
to the Capital Stock of said Company shall be pay-
able at such times and in such instalments as the
President and Directors of said Company may direct;
provided, that not more than twenty per cent, of the
amount of such subscriptions shall be required atone
time, nor shall payment of any instalment be de-
manded until at least thirty days public notice shall

be given byadvertisement in at least two newspapers
published in Frederick County, two in Washing-
ton County, and one in Baltimore City; and if any
subscriber shall fail or neglect to pay any instal-
ment or part of said subscription thus demanded,
for the space of sixty days next after the time the
same shall he due and payable, the Stock on which
it is demanded shall be forfeited to the Company;
