hut the President and Directors may remit any
such forfeitures on such terms as they shall deem
proper; provided, always, that in addition to the
forfeitures aforesaid, the said Company shall be
entitled to receive, sue for, and recover the said in-
stalments and subscriptions due as aforesaid, in
such manner as other debts are now recoverable at
law.

CHAPTER 20.

AN ACT to repeal Section two of Chapter one hun-
dred, passed at the Session of the General As-
sembly eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, enti-
tled " An Act to incorporate the Trustees of the
Baptist Church at Jones' Mills, in Dorchester
County," and re-enact the said Section so as to
read as follows:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section two of Chapter one hun-
dred, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at the January Session eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-seven, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That in case of the
death or resignation of any of the said Trustees,
the surviving or remaining Trustees shall have full
power and authority to fill the vacancy or vacan-
cies occasioned by virtue of said death or resigna-
tion.

Repealed.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
