Endorsed "read a third time and passed by yeas and
nays,"

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the County
Commissioners of Allegany county to levy a sum of money
to aid in the construction of a bridge across the Potomac
river at Westernport, in Allegany county.

Also, the following House bill,

Endorsed " Reported unfavorably from the Committee on
Finance and report concurred in,"

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to in-
vest the balance of the unappropriated fund arising from the
sale of the land scrip donated to this State by the United
States for the benefit of agricultural and mechanical arts.

Mr. Iglehart, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations.
(the rules being suspended,) reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act in favor of the Western Maryland
Rail Road Company, extending the time for the completion of
its road.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A hill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act entitled an
Act to incorporate the Queenstown and Harrington Railway
Company, chapter 354, passed March 22, 1867.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Baltimore and Hampden passenger Railway Company, passed
at January session, 1865, chapter 32, page 43.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Herbert moved that the House do now adjourn until
to-morrow morning, at ten o'clock.

Mr. Jones moved that the House do now adjourn until to-
morrow morning, at 11 o'clock.

Decided in the negative.

The question then recurring on the motion submitted by
Mr. Herbert, it was

Decided in the affirmative, and

The House, at 3 1/4 P. M., adjourned until to-morrow morn-
