Which was adopted.

John M. Carter, Esq., Secretary of State, delivered the
following message from his Excellency, the Governor :

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

ANNAPOLIS, February 26, 1868.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

I have this day signed and transmitted to the Clerk of the
Court of Appeals, the following bills received from your
Honorable Body on 21st February, instant :

An Act entitled a supplement to the Act passed by the
General Assembly of Maryland, at January session, 1860,
entitled "an Act to incorporate a company to build a turn-
pike road from Libertytown, in Frederick county, to inter-
sect the Woodsboro and Frederick turnpike road at or near
the Monocacy Bridge," and its supplement, passed at Janu-
ary session, 1867, of the General Assembly of Maryland,
chapter 230.

An Act to incorporate the Continental Fire and Marine In-
surance Company of Baltimore.

An Act to authorize the Delaware Rail Road Company to
extend a branch Rail Road across the State line into Kent
county, Maryland.

An Act to incorporate the town oi Westernport, Allegany
county, Maryland.

An Act to amend the charter of the Baltimore Fells Point
Hebrew Friendship Congregation.

An Act to enable Thomas Gemmell to hold lands and dis-
pose of the same.

An Act to add an additional section to the Code of Public
General Laws, Article 69, entitled "Officers."

An Act to amend the 14th section of the Act entitled "a
Act to incorporate the Kent county Rail Road Company"
chapter 148, passed at the January session, 1856, and to re-
enact the same as amended.

An Act to provide for the appointment of four superinten-
dents to supervise and control the repairs and improvements
of three public county roads in Allegany county, one leading
