A bill entitled an Act to repeal the 89th section of Article
16 of the Code of Public General Laws) entitled "Chancery,"
and relating to process against non-resident Infant defend-
ants, as amended by the Act of 1864, chapter 89, and to
insert in said Act, in lieu of the section so repealed, the fol-
lowing section relating to process against non-resident Infant
defendants.

Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ments."

Amend after the words " United States," in second line of
section 89, by inserting the words "or any Territory thereof;"
after the word " party " in the 14th line of said section, by
inserting the words " or parties ;" after the word " him," by
striking out the word " or," and afterword " her," in 15th
line of said section, by inserting the words " or them," and
that he) she or they have made diligent inquiry to ascertain
the same, (the said oath or affirmation, where there is more
than one complainant, to be made by any one, any number,
or all of such parties) in the discretion of the Court,) or when
a commission may have been issued) as herein provided, and
the party or parties to whom such commission may have been
issued, shall refuse, or neglect to execute or return the same,
according to the exigency thereof, beyond a reasonable length
of time, to be judged of by the Court issuing such commis-
sion then.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1865, chapter
60, entitled an Act to repeal sections 139, 140, 141, 142, 143,
144, 145, 146, 147 and 148 of the Code of Public Local Laws
for Somerset county, relating to retailers, and to re-enact the
said sections 139 to 148 inclusive, of Article 19, of the Code
of Public Local Laws for Somerset county.

Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."
On motion by Mr. Grove,

The bill and amendment was ordered to lie over until the
16th instant.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal a proviso in the 4th
section of the Act passed January session, 1857, chapter
150, entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Kent County
Rail Road Company) to secure the completion of said road by
the issuing of additional bonds of the Company, and to pro-
vide for the payment of the State's subscription for 'stock in
said Company, to waive the State's lien relating to the State's
payment of one-fourth of, her subscription for stock in one
year, and to re-enact the said section as amended.

Endorsed, " passed by yeas and nays."
