Resolved by the General assembly of Maryland,
That the Board of Public Works be and they are
hereby instructed and directed to cause the suit
which at their instance was directed to be insti-
tuted in the name of the State against the Anna-
polis and Elkridge Railroad Company, to be dis-
missed.

Resolution to authorize the appointment of
Commissioners to have a survey made and to esti-
mate the cost of constructing a railroad from Bal-
timore city to Drum Point, in Calvert county.
.Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Governor be and he is hereby authorized
and required to appoint one Commissioner from
Anne Arundel county and one Commissioner from
Calvert county and one from Baltimore city, who
shall be authorized to employ an engineer to make
a survey and to estimate the cost of constructing
and equipping a railroad from Baltimore city
through Anne Arundel county to Drum Point, in
Calvert county, or to some other point in said
county near the mouth of the Patuxent river, and
the said Commissioners are further directed to
report to the General Assembly as soon as practi-
cable the result of said survey and estimate,
together with the reasons that exist for the con-
struction of said road and the advantages that
will accrue to the State by the building of the
said road.
Resolved, That the sum of five thousand dollars
or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby
appropriated for making the said survey, and the
Comptroller of the Treasury is hereby authorized
and required to draw his warrant on the Trea-
surer, payable to such persons and for such amount
as may be required by the Governor. |
