CHAPTER 251.

AN ACT to amend the Act of eighteen hundred
and thirty-five, chapter two hundred and forty-
six, entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
and Peach Bottom Railroad Company by the
appointment of Commissioners in the place of
those who have died.

Passed: Mar.
23,1867.

WHEREAS, All the Commissioners named in said
Act, except James Montgomery, have departed
this life, and it is desirable that other Commis-
sioners should be appointed by law in their stead.

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Abraham J. Street, Thos.
J. Ayres, John R. Street, Christopher Slade, Nich-
olas H. Nelson. Thomas Glenn, Richard B. McCoy,
Samuel M. Whiteford, Evan S. Rogers, John
Greer Williamson, Isaac Parker, Charles McCon-
key, Richard Jones, John Russell, Stephen Boyd
and Alexander C. Ramsay be and they are hereby
appointed Commissioners in the place of the ori-
ginal Commissioners who have died, who, to-
gether with James Montgomery, shall have the
same powers which are conferred upon the Com-
missioners originally named in said Act to all in-

tents and purposes whatsoever; provided, that
none of the powers conferred upon the said Com-
pany in the first section of the Act of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chapter
two hundred and forty-six, entitled an Act to in-
corporate the Baltimore and Peach Bottom Bail-
road Company, which relates or refers to the Bal-
timore and Ohio Railroad and the supplements
referred to, shall be used, exercised or enjoyed
by the Baltimore and Peach Bottom Railroad
company, and that the Baltimore and Peach
Bottom Railroad Company shall be liable to
State, county, municipal and school taxation;
and provided farther, that unless the said railroad.
shall be commenced within two years and be com-
pleted in ten years from the passage of this Act,
the said charter shall be null and void and. of no
