Mr. Bowie presented the memorial of R. E. Tydings and
other citizens of Baltimore county, against any change in the
charter of the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad Company ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inter-
nal Improvements.

Mr. Mules presented the memorial of John Stowe and
others, praying the passage of a law permitting the run-
ning of the cars on Sunday ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judi-
cial Proceedings.

Mr. Jump presented the petition of Henry Gunther and
others, in favor of running the City Passenger Railway Cars
on Sunday ;

Which was read and referred to the committee on Judi-
cial Proceedings.

Mr. Mules presented the memorial of Wm. McAllister and
other citizens of Baltimore, asking the passage of a law per-
mitting the running of the cars, on Sunday ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Mules presented the memorial of John Weiss and other
citizens of Baltimore city, asking the passage of a law per-
mitting the running of the cars on Sunday ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Mules presented the memorial of R. Wheelan Brown
and other citizens of Baltimore city, asking; the passage of a
law permitting the running of the cars on Sunday ;

Which was read and referred to Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

On motion by Mr. Waters,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to repeal and amend section 2 of chap-
ter 199, passed March the 24th, 1865, to authorize Notley
F. Miles, of Somerset county, to erect gates on the county
road in said county.

On motion by Mr. Mules,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to amend the charier of the Merchants Steam-
ship line, passed January session, 1866.

On motion by Mr. Jump,

Leave was granted to withdraw from the files of the Sen-
ate a bill on its second reading entitled, an Act to authorize
the County Commissioners of Talbot county, to subscribe to
