Mr. Lankford presented the petition of Henry Warner and
seventy others, for a modification of the Sunday Law;

Which were severally read and referred to the Select Com-
mittee on the Sunday Law.

Mr. Steiner presented the petition of George Saylor and
73 other citizens of Frederick and Carroll counties, for an Act
of incorporation for the construction of a railroad from Fred-
erick city to the Pennsylvania line, to connect with the ex-
tension of the Littlestown railroad;

Which was read and referred to the Committee oa Corpora-
tions.

Mr. Davis of Charles presented the petition from a large
number of citizens of Charles county, praying the passage
of a law to protect them against the encroachments of non-
residents upon their rights of fishing in the Potomac and
its tributaries;

Also, presented the petition from citizens of Charles
county, praying the passage of a law authorizing the em-
pounding of cattle, &c., found trespassing upon the fields of
other persons;

Which were severally read and referred to Committee on
Judiciary.

Mr. Benton presented the petition from twelve of the Repre-
sentatives of the original stockholders of the New Winsor Li-
brary Company, praying the passage of a supplementary
Act to an Act passed January 19th, 1841, chapter 20, entitled,
an Act to incorporate the New Winsor Library Company;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Neilson presented the petition of a number of citzens
of Baltimore in favor of the modification of the existing Sun-
day Law;

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Sunday Law.

Mr. Knott presented the memorial of the Union Bank of
Baltimore, praying that provision be made for the repayment
to it of money advanced for school purposes, to the First
Election District of Baltimore county;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Pitts presented a petition of 140 citizens of Worcester
county, praying that the balance of the State's appropriation
to said county shall be applied to the Worcester Railroad, and
the Wicomico and Pocomoke Railroad.
