sert "resident in Caroline county;"
Section 3, 9th line, at begining of line, insert "resident in

Section 4. And be it enacted, That unless the provisions of
this Act shall be fully complied with before the expiration of
five years from the passage oft this Act, then the Dorchester
and Delaware Rail Road Company shall forfeit all claim to
the aforesaid thirteen thousand dollars ;

Mr. Earle submitted the following as a substitute for the
bill:
A bill entitled, an Act to repeal so much of section one of
the Act of 1860, chapter 303, entited, an Act to carry into ef-
fect the eighth section of the Act entitled an Act for the promo-
tion of internal improvements, passed at December Session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chapter 395, as applies,
($13,000) to the;Choptank and Mispillion Rail Road Company,
and to apply the said ($13,000,) thirteen thousand dollars,
either to the Dorchester and Delaware Rail Road Company, in-
corporated by an Act passed on the 6th of February, 1866, ch.
52, or to the Maryland and Delaware Rail Road Company, in-
corporated by an Act passed on the tenth of March, 1854, sub-
ject to the decision of the legal and qualified voters of Caro-
line county at the election to be held for a constitutional con-
vention on the second Wednesday in April, 1867.
Ses. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That so much of section one of the Act of 1860, chapter
303, entitled, an Act to carry into effect the eighth section of
the Act entitled, an Act for the promotion of internal im-
provements, passed at December Session, 1835, chapter 395,
as applies, ($13,000,) thirteen thousand dollars, to the Chop-
tank and Mispillion Rail Road Company, be and the same is
hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said $13,000 is hereby
applied either to the Dorchester and Delaware Rail Road
Company, incorporated by an Act passed on the sixth day of
February, 1866, chapter 52, or to the Maryland and Dela-
ware Rail Road Company, incorporated by an Act passed on
the tenth day of March, 1854, subject to the decision of the
legal and qualified voters of Caroline county, at the election
to be held for a constitutional convention on the second Wed-
nesday in April, 1867.
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That at the election for a con-
