stitutional convention to be hold on the second Wednesday in
April, 1867, it shall be the duty of the judges of said election
at each of the election districts in said county to receive and
deposit in a separate box to be provided by them for that pur-
pose, all ballots that may be offered as Rail Road ballots, said
ballots to be either "for the Dorchester and Delaware Rail
Road," or "for the Maryland and Delaware Rail Road," and
to count the same and make a separate return thereof to the
Governor, who shall make known by public proclamation,
whether a majority of said votes has been cast for the Dorches-
ter and Delaware Rail Road Company, or the Maryland and
Delaware Rail Road Company.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That if it shall appear from the
said Executive Proclamation that a majority of said votes has
been given for the Dorchester and Delaware Rail Road Com-
pany, then and in that case the said sum of ($13,000) thirteen
thousand dollars, is hereby applied to the said Dorchester and
Delaware Rail Road Company, subject to the provisions of the
said act of 1860, chapter 303.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That if it shall appear from the
said Executive Proclamation, that a majority of said votes has
been given for the Maryland and Delaware Rail Road Com-
pany, then and in that case, the said sum of thirteen thousand
dollars ($13,000,) is hereby applied to the Maryland and Del-
aware Rail Road Company, subject to the provisions of the
act of 1860, chapter 303, and to the provisions of the act of
1865, chapter 156, entitled an Act, to secure the completion
of the Maryland and Delaware Rail Road Company.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That all rights to which the said
Dorchester and Delaware Rail Road may become entitled, under
the provisions of this act, are conferred on the following con-
ditions, viz: 1st, that an equal amount shall be subscribed by
citizens of Caroline county, within five years from the passage
of this act; 2d, that the said road shall pass within the vicini-
ty of Federalsburg, as now located to Bridgeville, in Dela-
ware.

Sec. '7. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from its passage.
