Ordered, That the Comptroller be requested to report to the
Senate immediately, the amount received by the State from
the capitation tax on the Baltimore and Washington Branch,
each year, from the 1st of January 1848, to 31st of December
1853, the five years preceding the charter granted by the
General Assembly to the Baltimore and Potomac Rail Road
Company, and from 1st of January 1854 to 31st of December
1860, prior to the breaking out of the war.

On motion of Mr. Bowie, it was

Ordered, That the response of the President of the Balti-
more and Ohio Rail Road Company, to an order of the Senate
relative to his rate of freight, be printed for the use of the
Senate.

On motion of Mr. Mules,

Leave was granted to Committee on J udicial Proceedings to
introduce a bill to amend the 234th section of Article 4_, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, entitled, fines and forfeitures.

On motion of Mr. Tome,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Tome, Brodwater and Earle,
to report a bill to incorporate the Elkton and Delaware Rail
Road Company.

On motion of Mr. Kimmel,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Kimmel, Mules and Stirling,
to introduce a bill entitled an Act, supplementary to the Act
of January session 1866, entitled an Act, to incorporate the
Union Rail Road Company of Baltimore, and to authorize the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, the Northern Central
and the Western Maryland Rail Road Companies, and the
Canton Company, to subscribe for the capital stock thereof, of
said Company, passed by the General Assembly of Maryland,
January session of 1866, and to amend the 9th section of said
Act.

On motion of Mr. Waters,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill for the relief of Benjamin Frost alias
Waters.

On motion of Mr. Waters,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
report a bill to incorporate Olive Branch Lodge, No. 104, of
Odd Fellows, of Somerset county.

On motion of Mr. Tome,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Tome, Stephenson and Phil-
pot, to report a bill to extend time to the Philadelphia and
Baltimore Central Rail Road Company to complete their Road
and to make a junction with the Philadelphia, Wilmington
