Anno Dom Seventeen hundred and two before us the Subscribers being two
of her Majesties Justices of the peace for Talbot County Came the within
written Robert Grundy and Judith his wife which Said Judith being by us
first Examined as the Law requires they both Acknowledged the within
written Deed and the premisses therein Contained unto the within written
Robert Ungle his Heirs and Assigns for Ever as that which he hath of the
Gift of the Said Robert and Judith his Wife etc. R. Gouldsborough M. T.
Ward which Deed and Endorsment were Recorded by the Clerk of Talbott
County in the Records of that County within Six Months after the date
thereof. And the Said John Bush further gave in Evidence the following
Deed Vizt.
This Indenture made the three and Twentieth Day of February in the
first year of the Reign of Sovereign Lady Anne by the grace of God of Eng-
land Scotland France and Ireland Queen Defender of the faith etc. Annoque
Dom nostra one Thousand Seven hundred and Two Between Robert Ungle
of Talbott County in the province of Maryland Merchant and Francis his
Wife of the one part and Robert Grundy of Talbott County afd Merchant
of the other part Wittnesseth that the Said Robert Ungle for and in Consid-
eration of three hundred and Twenty Pounds of good and Lawfull money
of England to him well and truly [622] paid before the Executing of these
Presents the Receipt the Said Robert Ungle Doth hereby Acknowledge
And Confess himself to be therewith fully Contented Satisfied and paid and
thereof and of every part thereof Doth hereby release Acquit Exonerate
and for Ever Discharge the Said Robert Grundy his heirs Exrs and Admrs and
every of them by these presents have given granted bargained Sold Aliened
released Enffeofed and Confirmed as Likewise by these presents doth fully
Clearly and Absolutely give Grant Bargain Sell alien release Enfeoffe and
Confirm unto him the Said Robert Grundy all that Tract of Land called
Buckland Containing Two hundred and fifty Acres and all that Tract of
Land Called Gurlington Containing two hundred Acres and all that Tract
of Land Called Murrey Containing one hundred and fifty Acres and all that
Tract of Land Called the Addition Containing One hundred Acres and all
that Tract of Land Called Rumley marsh Containing three hundred Acres
and all that Tract of Land Called [sic] Containing fifty Acres all which Sev-
erall Tracts of Land Do in the whole Contain One Thousand and fifty Acres
of Land and are Scituate lying and being on the North Side of Great Chop-
tank River in Talbott County which Said Severall Tracts of Land are butted
and Bounded by the Severall Courses and Boundaries in the Severall and
Respective Certificates of Survey thereof made And the Severall Letters
Patents thereof granted mentioned relation being thereunto respectively had
the Same doth Largely appear Together with all and Singular Plantations
Dwelling outhouses Tobacco Houses Orchards Gardens pastures Woods
underwoods Trees and Timber in or upon the afd Tracts of Land or in or
