prietors of the Old Church to have as good Seats in the new as they
had in the Old and for those Owners of a Lott or Lotts in the said
Town and Dwellers therein and Others who have Subscribed the
sum of Ten Pounds or upwards towards the Building the said Chapel
to have Seats or Pews therein also of the same Dimensions and such
Others who have subscribed less than Ten Pounds to have half
Pews so as two of such Subscribers may be put into one draft and
one of them draw and that when the Pews are erected they shall be
all Numbered except the one Mister Thomas Marsh may Choose he
having Piously subscribed seventy Pounds Current Money on Con-
dition of having his Choice of a Pew in the said Chapel, and if not
enough in the lower Part to be made up in the second Story and the
several Numbers wrote on so many pieces of Paper and put into a
Box and the names of the several Persons so intitled to Pews or
Seats whether by Subscription or otherwise also Wrote on so many
pieces of Paper and put also into another Box and some Indifferent

Person to draw out all the Names and in the Order as the Names
Rise for the Persons whose names come up or some Person by their
Direction to draw out of the Box of Numbers and the number each
Person Draws shall entitle him or her their Heirs and Assigns to
the Pew or Seat of that Number and it shall be entered on the
Register Book of the said Chester Parish Accordingly for which entry
each Owner of a Pew shall pay the Register one shilling Current
Money, every of the said Persons Owner of a Lott or Lotts in the
said Town and dwelling therein (and not Proprietors of the Old
Church) and every Subscriber as aforesaid towards Building the said
new Church, first paying before such Entry shall be made to the
said Trustees to be Applied also towards the Building the said Church
the bare Cost of erecting the Pew by him or her so drawn over and
above the sum of Money by such Person respectively Subscribed
which if any Person so drawing a Pew shall refuse or neglect to do
then the said Trustees shall and are hereby impowered to sell the

Pew or Pews so refused or neglected to be paid for at Publick Sale
to the highest bidder which Sale shall Cost the Buyer his Heirs and
Assigns with a good Title to the said Pew or Pews so sold and the
same shall be entered by the Register of the Parish as aforesaid and
the Money to be by the said Trustees applied as aforesaid And if the
Lower Floor of the said Chapel should be found Spacious enough
for the Chancel Pulpit and more Pews than sufficient for the Pro-
prietors of the old Church Owners of Lotts Resident in the Town
and Subscribers to the new Building as aforesaid the said Trustees
shall and are hereby enabled and required to sell and dispose of such
Overplus Pews to the Freeholders of the said Parish in the same
manner and to the same Use as they are herein before directed to
sell the Pews in the second Story of the said Chapel which Sale as
well as the Sale aforesaid of the Pews in the said second Story shall
be entered on the said Parish Register Book by the Parish Register
