          Charles County Court Proceedings, 1668—1670.     203

    next pay or cause to be pd unto the sd John Munn his heirs Executrs Liber D
    Admistrs & Assgs the sume of 2700 lb Toba: in Cask as is before
    mentioned that then this Indenture together wth the bargaine & sale
    of the sd land & prmises befor inserted to be void & of none effect
    otherwise to stand in full force effect & virtue In witness whereof
    the partys have interchangeably to these psent indentures set their
    hand & seale the day & yeare first above written

      Francis Adames Acknowledgeth this ensueing Conveyance to [p. 95]
    Rich:     Jones
      This Indenture made the eight of June 1669 betwixt Francis
    Adames on the one pte & Rich: Jones plt on the othr pte Witnesseth
    tht the sd Adames for & in Consideracon of a certaine sume of
    tobac to him in hand pd whereof & wherewth he acknowledgeth him-
    self fully satisfied Content'd & pd & of every pte & pcell thereof
    Hath given granted Alien'd bargained sold enifeoffed & confirmed &
    by these prsents doth fully clearly & absolutely give grant Alien
    bargaine sell enfeoffe & confirme unto Rich: Jones all tht pcell
    of land called Battchellours hope & by estemation laid out for 100
    Acres more or less according to Survey & lying in Char Couty
    aforesd begining at a bounded whit Oake standing on the south
    sid of a branch called St Francis branch lying neare the land of
    Mathias Bryan runing East & by North for breadth 60 perches to a
    bounded red Oake thence runing South & by east for lenght 266
    perchs to a bounden red Oake thence runing West & by south 60
    perches to a bounden red Oak & from thence ruing north & by West
    untill it intersect a paralell line qt & now ld out for 100 Acres to-
    gether wth all houses Edifices buildings barnes stables gardens yrds
    Orchards backsids Easemts lands tenemts meadows feedings pasturs
    woods underwoods waies pfits Comodities hereditamts & Appurte-
    nances wtsoever to the same belonging or to any pte or pcell throf
    any manner of way appertaining & allso all the estat right title
    Interest use propriety clathe or demand of him the sd Adames of
    in or to the same alsoe all deeds writings evidences wtsoever touch-
    ing or concerning the same or any pte or pcell thereof To have &
    to hold the aforesd pcell of land & all & singular other the pmises
    wth their & every of their rights members & Appertenances wtsoever
    unto the sd Jones his heirs Executrs for ever & the sd Adams doth
    for himself his heirs Exectrs Admistrs & Assgs Covent pmise &
    grant to & wth the sd Jones his heirs Exectrs Admistrs & Assgs tht
    he the sd Adams now is lawfully & Justly possest of a Just title in
    law of & in the before bargained prmises & hath full & absolute powr
    to bargaine sell & Assure the same & the premises now are & for
