   of the sd Duties no Ship or Vessell can by Law goe from Lib. H. D.

   Maryland or any other of his Mats Plantations with any of the

   aforesd Commodities, to any Port of Europe but to England

   Wales or Berwick, nor to any port out of Europe but to some

   other of the sd Plantations.

     4thly If any of the goods chargable with the Duties aforesd

   shall be laden on board any Ship or Vessell before the Master

   or Commander hath made Entry thereof according to the Act

   for preventing ifrauds and the Statutes made in the first Elizt

   Cap ii Such master or Commandr is lyable to the penalty of

   one hundred pounds.

     5: You are to take Care that no Commodity of the Grouth

   Production or Manufacture of Europe be Imported but what

   Shall be bonafide and without fraud laden and Shipt in

   England, Wales or Berwick and in English built Shiping or

   Ships otherwise quallifyed except Salt for the ifisheries of

   New England and Newfound-Land Wines of the Growth of

   the Maderas Westerne Islands or Azores and Servants Horses

   and Victualls from Scotland and Ireland under the fforfeiture

   of Ship & Goods.

     6: And for the prevention of Frauds, You are to Inform

   Yor Self whether any Ships or Vessells Coming to Maryland

   lade or Unlade any Commodities whatsoever untill the Master

   or Commander thereof shall first have made known to the

   Governor or whom he appoints to that purpose the Arrivall of

   Each Ship or Vessell with her name and the name and Sr

   Name of the Master and hath Shown that She is an English built

   Ship or otherwise quallifyed and Navigated according to Law,

   and doth deliver to the Governr or such other Person a true

   and perfect Inventory of her lading together with the place or

   places where such Goods were taken in.

     7: And whereas Severall Ships doe Trade in his Mats

   plantations wch by Law ought not to Trade there and Severall

   European Goods are Imported thither from other places then

   England Wales or Berwick and Several Ships loaden with

   Enumerated Plantation Commodities doe goe for Scotland

   and other places without first Coming to England and actually

   unloading there You are Carefully to Examine all Certificates

   which Shall be brought of any Ship having Given Bond for the

   preventing false and Counterfeit Certificates, and as to such

   Ships & Vessells as doe give Bond in Maryland You are to

   Endeavour to discover whether the Condition of the sd Bonds

   be perform'd & Certificates thereof produced and on failure

   thereof that they be prosecuted, & for this End if any Ship or

   Vessell wch have Given Such Bond shall happen to arrive

   again with you, You are to Demand of her Master a Certificate p. 17
