the defects aforesaid) to be omitted dureing the life of the
party aforesaid, You may then upon suite made, cause the
speedy entry thereof, and grant pattent for the same to the
next heire or relation of the deed: or for want thereof to the
Executo^r or Admin^r of such deceased, to be as Assetts for the
Satisfaction of his Debts and Legacyes, or otherwise as you
shall see fitt, upon such conditions and Tearmes as to you shall
seeme meete. Our Rents & arreareages of Rent for the same
being duely paid and Satisfied.
16: You are by noe meanes to grant or pass any Pattent
for any Tract of Land that is part or parcell of a greater Tract
formerly granted.
17: Vpon Resurvey of severall smaller Tracts into One
Intire Tract upon some doubts of Erro^r or mistake made by
the Surveyo^r or Clerk of the Office (evidently appeareing soe
to be) you may rectifye the same by Pattent of Confirmation
thereof (such Erro^r or mistake aforesaid notwithstanding.
18: All Certificates of Resurvey upon Speciall warrant
granted in Councill lett be returned first to the Examin^r Gen^ll
and then to the Councill before such time as they be admitted
to be entred upon Record in the Office.
19: And wee will and require and doe hereby give full
power and Authority to you the said Coll Henry Darnall, and
Coll William Digges in case you shall be both liveingto signe
all Patients and Grants of Land legally obteined, and other
Instruments to which the greate Seale is necessary required,
dureing our absence out of this Province, and soe long as we
shall think fitt to continue the powers and Authorities to you
by us given, and in case of the death or absence of either the
said Coll: Henry Darnall or Coll William Digges, then wee
will that all Patients and Grants of Land, and other Instrum^ts
afores^d shall be signed by either the said Henry Darnall or
William Digges and one of our Secrys Maj^r Nicholas Sewall
or John Darnall Esq^r To be good firme and valid in Law to
all intents and purposes as if Immediately signed by our Self,
Unless such Pattent Grant or In strum^t aforesaid shall immedi-

ately concerne or have particular relation to you the said
Henry Darnall or William Digges; In which cases wee will
that such Pattent Grant or Instrum^t aforesaid shall be signed
by the other of you not concerned, and one of the Secretaries
aforesaid; And soe accordingly where the same shall concerne
either of our said Secretaries.
20: And wee doe hereby Authorise and Empower you the
said Majo^r Nicholas Sewall and John Darnall Esq^r our Princip^ll
Secryes of this our Province jointly or severally by your Selves
apart to signe all warrants, warrants of Resurvey or other
speciall warrants for Land or other Instrum^t to your place and
