Member, Maryland Register of Wills Association (past vice-president & treasurer). Founding member, Dorchester Democratic Club. Founding member, South Dorchester Folk Museum, Inc. (board of trustees; treasurer). Member, Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 4-8; National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Friends of Blackwater. Former member, Quota International of Cambridge. Member, St. John's United Methodist Church, Church Creek, Maryland (chair, board of trustees; treasurer, memorial building fund). Married to Reginald D. Lewis. Widow; one daughter, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Died November 3, 2020.
