Consultant, U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources, Congressional Black Caucus, and Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. President, GLOBETown Associates, a counsulting service. Former teacher, District of Columbia and Charles County Public Schools. Former counselor, College of Southern Maryland. President, Charles County Public Schools Education Foundation. Member, Charles County Democratic Central Committee, 2000- (past chair). Past president, Southern Maryland Chain Chapter, The Links, Inc. Member, Nu Zeta Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Women Opening the Pipeline Award, Congressional Black Caucus Education Braintrust, 2006. Outstanding Achievement in Community Service Award, Maryland State Teachers Association, 2007. Widow; three children, two grandchildren.
