Member, Garrett County Lodge no. 99, Fraternal Order of Police; Garrett County Law Enforcement Officers PAC (chair, 2000-03); Masons, Door to Virtue Lodge no. 46, Westminster; American Legion Post no. 282, Woodsboro. Past member, Taneytown Lions Club. Member, Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, Maryland. Married; two children.
