Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe keep so that he should have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next County Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in June Next to answer unto Philip Mood of a plea of Trespass upon the Case &C.a and that he should have been then and there that Writ &C.a And now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in June afs.d the Sheriff afs.d Namely Thomas Hungerford Gentleman Returns to the Court here that he has taken the body of the said William Compton And the afs.d William by Jeremiah Chase his attorney Comes and defends the force and Injury when &C.a and Prays Licence thereof to Imparle here until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in August Next and he hath it and the same day is given to the same Philip here &C.a At whih day to wit the Second Tuesday in August afs.d Comes as well the said Philip by his attorney afs.d as the said William by his attorney afs.d and the said William by his said attorney Prays further Licence thereof to Imparle here until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in November Next and he hath it and the same day is given to the same Philip here &C.a At which day to wit the Second Tuesday in November afs.d Comes as well the said Philip by his attorney afs.d as the said William by his attorney afs.d and the said William by his said attorney Prays further Licence thereof to Imparle here until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in March Next and he hath it and the same day is given to the same Philip here &C.a And now here at this day to wit the second Tuesday in March afs.d Came as well the said William as the said William in the Plea aforesaid It is therefore Considered by the Court here that the said Philip take nothing b his Writ afs.d but that he and his Pledges of Prosecuting Que in Mea be in Mercy &C.a and the said William go thereof without day &C.a It is Likewise Considered that the said William do Recover against the said Philip one Hundred & Ninety Seven Pounds & Three Quarters of a pound of Tobacco for his Costs and Charges by him about his Defence in this Part sustained to the same William at his Request by the Court here adjudged according to the form force and Effect of the statute in those Cases late made and Provided and that the same William have thereof Execution
It was Commanded the sheriff that he should take William Douglass late of Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe keep so that he should have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next County Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second (Tuesday) |
