         March Court Anno Domini 1747

Moses in the plea afs.d should be Convict then the said Benjamin [illegible]
that as well the Damages afs.d as all Costs which to the said Chris.r & Com in this [illegible]
be adjudged of his Lands and Chattles should be made and Levied to and for the use of the said
Christopher & Com that if it should happen that the said Moses the Damages & Costs afs.d
to the said Christ.r & Com should not Pay or his body into the Custody of the sheriff by
Reason thereof Render  And the afs.d Moses by Thomas Clark his Attorney Comes & defends
the force and Injury when &C.a and Prays Licence thereof to Imparle here until the Next Court
to be holden at Charles Town the second Tuesday in March Next and he hath it and the
same day is given to the same Christ.r & Company here &C.r  At which day to wit the Second Tuesday
in March afs.d Comes here as well the said Christ.r & Company by their attorney afs.d as the said
Moses by his attorney afs.d and the said Moses by his said attorney Prays further License thereof
to Imparle here until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on teh Second Tuesday in
June Next and he hath it and the same day is given to the same Christ.r & Com here &C.a  At which
day to wit the Second Tuesday in June afs.d Comes as well the said Christ.r & Company by their attorney
afs.d as the said Moses by his attorney afs.d and the said Moses by his said attorney Prays further Licence
thereof to Imparle here until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in
August Next and he hath it and the same day is given to the same Christopher & Company here &C.a

At which day to wit the second Tuesday in August afs.d Comes as well the said Christ.r & Com by their att.y
attorney afs.d as the said Moses by his attorney afs.d and the said Moses by his said attorney Prays further Licence
thereof to Imparle here until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in
November Next and he hath it and the same day is given to the same Christopher & Company here &C.a

At which day to wit the Second Tuesday in November aforesaid Comes as well the said Christ.r & Com by their
attorney afs.d as the said Moses by his attorney afs.d and the said Moses by his said attorney Prays further Licence
thereof to Imparle here until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in March
Next and he hath it and the same day is given to the same Christopher and Company here &C.a

And now here at this day to Wit the Second Tuesday in March afs.d Came as well the Said Moses as the s.d
Christopher & Company by their attorneys afs.d and the said Christopher & Com by their said attorney prays
that the said Moses to their Declaration afs.d against him may answer and the said Moses by his attorney
afs.d Comes and defends the force and Injury when &C.a and saith that he Cannot deny the action afs.d of them
the said Christ.r & Com nor but that he did assume upon himself in manner and form as the said Christ.r &
Company against him have Complained nor also but that the said Christopher & Company has sustained
Damages by means of not Performing the Promises and Assumptions afs.d to Six Hundred four Pounds
and one half Pound of Tobacco as the said Christ.r and Company above in declaring Supposes

Whereupon the said Christopher & Company by their attorney afs.d prays Judgment and [illegible]
Damages so acknowledged together with their Costs and Charges by him about their suit in the [illegible]
out and Expended to them to be adjudged  Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the said [illegible]
Company do Recover against the said Moses their Damages afs.d to Six Hundred four Pounds and one [illegible]
Pound of Tobacco above acknowledged as also the sum of Two Hundred Seventy Two and one half pound
of Tobacco for his Costs and Charges by him about his Suit on this Part laid out and Expended on the
Def.t in mea &C.a   Assent by the Court here adjudged and the said Moses in Mercy &Ca
