(98) June Court Anno Domini 1747 It was Commanded the sheriff that he should take Thomas Lanphier late of Charles County Brewer if &C.a and safe Keep so that you have his body before the Justices of the Lord Propry of his Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in June Next to Satisfy unto Mess.rs Stephenson & Steel as well the sum of Two Thousand four Hundred and six pounds of Tobacco in two Hh.ds which to the said Stephenson & Steel in the Court of the said Lord Propry afs.d before the Justices afs.d Were Adjudged for their Damages which they had by occasion of a Certain Promise and Assumption to the same Stephenson and Steel at Charles County afs.d made and unperformed as also Two Hundred and Ninety seven Pounds of Tobacco to the same Stephenson & Steel of their assent were adjudged for their Damages ^Costs^ & Charges by him about their suit in this Part laid out and Expended whereof the said Thomas is Convict and that he should have then and there that Writt &Ca And Now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in June afs.d the sheriff afs.d Returns to the Court here the Writt afs.d thus Indorsed Viz.t Cepi Corpus Sam Hanson she It was Commanded the Sheriff that he should take Edward Sanders late of Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe Keep so that he should have his body before the Justices of the Lord Propry of his Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in June Next to Satisfy unto James Freeman as well the Sum of Five Pounds five and Ten pence Currency which to the said James in the Court of the s.d Lord Propry afs.d before the Justices afs.d were adjudged for his Damages which he had by Occasion of a Certain Promise and Assumption to the same James at Charles County afs.d made and unperformed as also four Hundred and Eleven Pounds of Tobacco to the same James of his assent were adjudged for his Costs & Charges by him about his suit in this Part laid out and Expended whereof the said Edward Sanders is Convict &C.a and that he should have then & there that Writt &Ca And Now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in June afs.d the Sheriff afs.d Returns to the Court here the Writt afs.d thus Indorsed Viz.t Cepi Corpus satisfied the Plaintiff Sam Hanson she It was Commanded the sheriff that he should take William Nail late of Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe keep so that you have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the second Tuesday in June Next to Satisfy unto Richard Gildart & sons as well the sum of Nine Hundred And Ninety Nine and a half Pound of Tobacco which to the s.d Richard & sons in the Court of the said Lord Propry afs.d before the Justices afs.d were adjudged for their Damages which they had by occasion of a Certain Promise & Assumption to the same Richard & sons at Charles County afs.d made & unperformed as also Two Hund.d and forty one Pounds of Tobacco to the same Richard & sons of their assent Were Adjudged for their Damages when to the ^Costs & Charges by him about^ their suit in this Part laid out & Expended whereof the Said William is Convict &C.a and that he should have then & there that Writt &Ca And Now here at this day to the second Tuesday in June (afs.d) |
