(96) June Court Anno Domini 1747 Part laid out and Expended whereof the said Benjamin is Convict and that he should have then and there that Writt &C.a And Now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in June afs.d the sheriff aforesaid Returns to the Court here the Writt aforesaid thus Indorsed Viz.t Cepi superseded Sam Hanson She and with the Writt afs.d he returns the following supersedeas Vizt You Benjamin Gilpin John Clark Jun & James Freeman do Confess Judgment to Corn.s Sandford for the sum of Three pounds sixteen Currency as also the sum of Two Hundred and fifty Pounds of Tobacco which sums were Recovered by the said Cornelius Sandford against the said Benjamin Gilpin on the Twelfth day of March 1746 in Charles Co.ty Court the said sums of Three Pounds sixteen shillings Currency and Two Hundred and fifty five Pounds of Tobacco to be Levied on your body's Goods or Chattles Lands or Tenements for the use of the said Cornelius Sandford in Case the said the said Benjamin Gilpin shall not Pay and satisfy to the said Corn.s Sandford the said Sums of Three Pounds sixteen shillings and Two Hundred & fifty five Pounds of Tobacco so as afs.d Recovered against him with Additional Costs thereon on the 10th day of February Next Confessed the 2d Day of June 1747 Before Robt Hanson S Hanson It was Commanded the sheriff that he should take Richard Nally late of Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe keep so that you have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next County Court to be holden at Charles Town the Second Tuesday in June Next to satisfy unto James Freeman as well the sum of five pounds seven shillings and Eight Pence half penny Currency which to the said James in the County of the s.d Lord Propry afs.d before the Justices ^afs.d^ were adjudged for his Damages which he had by occasion of a Certain Promise and Assumption to the same James at Charles County afs.d made & unperformed as also Three Hundred and Seventy five pounds of Tobacco which to the same James of his assent were adjudged for his Costs & Charges by him about his suit in this Part laid out and Expended whereof the said Richard is Convict and that he should have then & there that Writt &Ca And now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in June afs.d the sheriff afs.d Returns to the Court here the Writt afs.d thus Indorsed Vizt Cepi satisfied the Plaintiff Sam Hanson She It was Commanded the Sheriff that he should take Henry Haislip late of Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe keep so that he should have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in June Next to satisfy unto Edward Trafford Esqr as well the sum of Six Hundred and Eighty five pounds of Tobacco which to the said Edward in the Court of the said Lord Proprietary afs.d before the Justices were adjudged for his Damages which he had by occasion of a Certain Promise and Assumption to the same James Edward at Charles County afs.d made & unperformed as also Two Hundred and Ninety one pounds of Tobacco which to the same Edward of his assent were adjudged for his Costs & Charges by him about his suit in this Part laid out and Expended whereof the said Henry is Convict and that he should have then and there that Writt &C.a (And) |
