Be it Remembered that heretofore to wit the Second Tuesday in March last by the oath of Fifteen Jurors Namely Thomas Matthews &C.a was Presented Jane Talford for bearing a bastard Child And Now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in June aforesaid the afs.d Jane in Custody of the sheriff Namely Samuel Hanson Gent to the Barr here brought under Proper Person Came of being Demanded of her by the court here wether she be Guilty of the Bastardy afs.d above upon her Imposed she the said Jane say she is thereof Guilty in Manner & form as by the Presentment afs.d against her it is alledged Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the said Jane be fined Six Hundred Pounds of Tobacco or Thirty Shillings Current money for her offence afs.d according to the force form and Effect of the Act of Assembly in those Cases late made and Provided and the s.d Jane be taken &Ca Whereupon into Court here in his Proper Person Comes Robert Minion of Charles County Blacksmith and becomes Pledge and Security for the afs.d Jane to pay the fine afs.d as also the several fees arisen due to the officers and Ministers of the Court here by occasion of the Premises Ruled that the said Jane Talford Recognize in the sum of Ten pounds Current money with sufficient surety in the sum of five Pounds Like money for her appearance hereon the second Tuesday in August Next to Testify for the Lord Proprietary against a Certain Richard Gray Jun of and Concerning his Begetting a bastard Child on the body of the said Jane Whereupon into Court here in her Proper Person Comes the said Jane Talford of Charles County Spinster and acknowledged herself to owe and stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary in the Sum of Ten pounds Currant money of Maryland and Also in like manner Came Robert Minion of Charles County Blacksmith and acknowledged himself to owe and stand Justly Indebted unto his said Lordship in the sum of five pounds like money which sums they and ^each^ of them severally Yielded and Granted should be made and Levied on their and each of their Goods & Chattles Lands and Tenements for the use of his said Lordship his Heirs & Successors On Condition that the said Jane Talford do make her Personal appearance here on the Second Tuesday in August Next then and there to give Evidence on behalf of his Lordship the Lord Propry against a Certain Richard Gray Jun of and Concerning his Begetting a bastard Child on the body of her the said Jane so hereof he is Presented & not depart the same Court without Licence
