(6) March Court Anno Dom 1746 Of this Court on the Seventh day of February In the Year Seventeen Hundred and forty six that is to say Herself in the Sum of Ten pounds Current Money together with Mathew Pope her Mainpernor in the like Sume for ^he^ the said Elizabeth Smalls Appearance to Answer of and Concerning her Bearing a Bastard Child Whereupon Henry Darnall Esqr His Lordships Attorney Generall Ore Tenus Informs and gives the Court to Understand that the said Elizabeth was and is Guilty of Bearing a Bastard Child and prays the Advice of the Court therein Thereupon the said Elizabeth Small present here in Court as aforesaid being asked whether She be Guilty of Premisses above on her Imposed Saith that she is thereof Guilty In Manner and form as agains her it is Alledged Therefore it is Considered by that the said Elizabeth be fined Six Hundred pounds of Tobacco or thirty Shillings Currant Money for her Offence aforesaid by the Court here Adjudged According to the form Force and Effect of the Act of Assembly in such Cases late made and Provided and that the said Elizabeth be taken &ca Whereupon Into Court here In his proper person comes Robert Yates of Charles County Gent and Becomes Pledge and Security for the said Elizabeth to pay the fine aforesaid as also the Severall fees arisen due to the Officers and Ministers of the Court here by Occasion of the Premisses Ruled that the said Elizabeth Small Recognize in the Sume of Ten pounds Current Money with Sufficient Surety In the like Sume for her Appearance here on the Second Tuesday in In June next to Testifye for the Lord Propry against a certain James Wood of and concerning his Begetting a Bastard Child on the Body of the said Elizabeth Whereupon Into Court here in Her proper Person # Comes the said Elizabeth Small of Charles County Spinster together with Matthew Pope of Same County Planter and Acknowledge themselves to Owe and Stand justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary In the ^full and just^ Sume of Ten pounds Current Money Each Which Sume they and each of them Severally Yeilded and Granted Should be made and Levied on their & Each of their Goods and Chattells Lands & Tenements to the use of his said Lordship his Heirs and Successors On Conditition that the said Elizabeth Small do make her Personall Appearance here on the Second Tuesday (in |
