Anno Domini 1747 Therefore it is Considered that the said Mary Castel be fined or suffer Corporal Punishment according to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in those Cases late made and Provided and for that the said Mary Castel Cannot Pay or Procure any Person to be Security for the fine afs.d by the Act afs.d Imposed Whereupon into Court here in his Proper Person Comes Robert Franklin of Charles County Blacksmith & becomes Pledge and Security for the afs.d Mary Castel to pay the Several fees arisen due to the officers and Ministers of the Court hereby occasion of the Premises Whereupon it is by the Court here further Considered that the said Mary Castel do serve her Master Nine Months Inconsideration of the afs.d time and Trouble of His House and the fees arisen due to the officers and Ministers of the Court
This being an action upon the Case for the Recovery of Eleven Hundred Pounds of Tobacco due on a Note to the said John Estep from the said John Wheatley The said John Wheatly was by virtue of a Capias ad Respondendum Returnable before his Lordships County on the Second Tuesday in November Seventeen Hundred and forty four arrested And the said John Wheatley by Thomas Clark his attorney Comes and defends the force and Injury when &C.a and prays leave thereof to Imparle hereto until the Next Court to be Holden at Charles Town on the Second ^Tuesday^ in March next and he hath it and the same day is given to the same John Estep here &C.a At which day to wit the Second Tuesday in March afs.d Comes here as well the said John Wheatley as the said ^John^ Estep by their Attorneys afs.d and the said John Wheatley by his attorney afs.d prays further leave to Imparle hereto until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second in June Next and he hath it and the same day is given to the same John Estep here &C.a At which day to wit the Second Tuesday in June afs.d Comes here as was the said John Wheatley as the said John Estep by their Attorneys aforesaid and the said John Wheatley by his said Attorney prays further leave to Imparle hereto until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second in November Next & he hath it and the same day is given to the same John Estep here &Ca At which day to wit the Second Tuesday in November aforesaid Comes here as well the said John Wheatley as the said John Estep by their attorneys aforesaid and the said John Wheatley by his said att.y prays further leave to Imparle hereto until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second in March Next & he hath it and the same day is given to the same John Estep here &C.a (At) |
