It was Commanded the sheriff that he should Take John
Martin Jun late of Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe keep so that you
should have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary ^of^ his Next Court to be
holden at Charles Town on the second Tuesday in March Next to satisfy unto Thomas
Midgley as well the sum of Nine Hundred and Thirty Nine pounds ^of Tobacco^ which to the same
Thomas in the Court of the Lord Proprietary aforesaid before the Justices aforesaid were Adjudged
for his Damages which he had by a Certain Promise and Assumption to the same Thomas at
Charles County aforesaid made and unperformed as also One Hundred and Ninety Seven
POunds of Tobacco which to the same Thomas of his assent was Adjudged for his Costs and
Charges by him about his suit in this Part laid out and Expended whereof the said John is
Convict &C.a and that he should have then and there that writt &C.a
                                                                                                          And now here at this
day to wit the second Tuesday in March aforesaid the sheriff aforesaid Returns to the
Court here the writt aforesaid thus Indorsed Viz.t         Cepi Corpus satisfied the sheriff

six shillings and Eight pence paper Currency to the same william Clements Jun in the
Court of the Lord Proprietary aforesaid before the Justices aforesaid were Adjudged to his
Damages which he had by a Certain Promise and Assumption to the same William
Clements Junior at Charles County afs.d by William M.cIntosh ^of^ whom the said Charles
Courts ^is^ Garnashee of made and unperformed as also Three Hundred Thirty pounds
of Tobacco which to the same William Clements Jun of his Assent were Adjudged for
his Costs and Charges by him about his suit in this part laid out and Expended whereof
the said Charles Courts is Convict &Ca and that he should have then and there that
Writt &C.a
                               And now here at this day to wit the second Tuesday in March afs.d the She
aforesaid Returns to the Court here the writt aforesaid thus Indorsed viz.t
