 Debt on Judgment Bond
Judgment p Nonsum Informatus

Charles County ss.t  Daniel Hodgkins late of Charles County in the province of
Maryland Planter was summoned to answer unto Samuel Hanson Jun.r of
a plea that he Render unto him the Just & full sum of six Thousand Three
Hundred & forty pounds of Tobacco which to him he owes & unjustly detains & so forth

And Whereupon the same Samuel in his proper person saith that whereas
the said Daniel on the Thirty first Day of October In the year of our Lord one Thous.d
seven Hundred and forty Six at Charles County afs.d by his Certain Writing
Obligatory with the seal of him the said Daniel sealed and herein Court produced
whose Date is the day & year afs.d acknowledged himself to be held and firmly
bound unto the said Samuel In the sum of six Thousand Three Hundred &
forty pounds of Tobacco to the said Samuel when thereunto afterwards he
should be requested  Nevertheless the said Daniel altho often Requested
the said sum of six Thousand Three Hundred & forty pounds of Tobacco or
any part thereof to him the said Samuel to pay or in any sort to Content
hath hitherto altogether Refused and stil doth Refuse to the Damage of
him the said Twelve Thousand six Hundred and Eighty pounds of Tobacco
and therefore suit is brought & so forth                              John Doe

And the afs.d Daniel by Jeremiah Chase his attorney Comes and defends the force and
Injury when &C.a and prays a hearing of the Writing Obligatory and it is Read unto him
he also prays a hearing of the Condition of the same Writing and it is Read unto him in
these Words following Viz.t

The Condition of the above obligations such that if the above bounden Daniel
Hodgkin his Heirs Ex.rs or Adm.rs do and shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid
unto the said Samuel Hanson Jun.r his Certain attorney Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns
the Just sum of Three Thousand one Hundred & Seventy pounds of Good Sound Merchantable
Leaf Tobacco in Casks to Contain the same with Legal Interest for the same then the above
obligation to be Void Else to Remain in full force and Virtue in Law but if Default be
made in the payment of the said sum of Three Thousand One Hundred and Seventy
Pounds of Tobacco or ay part thereof Then I do hereby Impower any attorney in any County
Record in the Realms of Great Britain France or Ireland or within the province of Mary.d
or other his Majestys Dominions to appear for me at the suit of the above Mentioned
Samuel Hanson Jun.r and to Receive a Declaration on the above obligation and
thereupon to Confess Judgment by Nildicit Cognovit Actionem Nonsum Informatus
or otherwise hereby Releasing all the Errors that may happen on the said Judgment
suing out Execution thereupon or in any of the proceedings thereunto Relating
Which being Read and heard the said Daniel by his attorney afs.d Comes & defends
the force and Injury when &C.a and the same attorney saith that he is not Informed by
the said Daniel of any answer to make for the said Dan.l to the said Samuel in the action
of the afs.d Samuel by which the same Samuel Remains against the said Daniel thereof
without Defence
